What we collect
To give a student a working account, we keep:
- A name or nickname and an email to log in with.
- The programs and missions a student builds, plus their scores and progress.
- A school code, if the student joined through a school, to link them to their class.
That's it. No phone numbers, no home address, no advertising profiles.
How we use it
Only to make Roboholics work: save progress, run missions, give AI hints, let teachers grade, and keep things safe. We also look at general patterns — like which missions are popular — to make the lessons better.
Kids come first
Roboholics is made for ages 7 and up, so we're careful. Child accounts are meant to be set up with a parent or through a school. We ask children for as little as possible, and we never use their information for advertising. A parent or school can view, correct or delete a child's account anytime.
The AI helper
When a student asks the AI for a hint, we send just their blocks and the mission they're on — not their name or email — so it can help. We only note how often it's used, so teachers can see it and daily limits stay fair.
Who can see a student's work
If a student joined through a school, their teacher can see their work, scores and progress — that's how grading works. Otherwise, only the account holder. A few trusted services help us run the platform (like hosting and the AI hints), and they can only use the data to do that job. We never sell personal information.
Saved on your device
Roboholics runs in your browser and even works offline, so it saves things like your programs and language choice right on your device. We only use the storage that's needed to make it work — no ad trackers.
Your choices
Want to see what we have, fix something, or delete an account? Just email us and we'll take care of it. For a child's account, a parent, guardian or school can ask on their behalf.
If this changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. If it's a big change, we'll try to let you know.
